The Hague Talks, initiated at the beginning of 2015, is a series of events organised throughout the world engaging a very creative and fruitful debate on “Setting peace and justice in motion”.
One of the next events is a discussion entitled YOUR PEACE, MY PEACE: LET’S KICKSTART PEACE NOW!, inviting creators form all over the world to share their experience on what peace means to them with the audience. It will take place on Monday 21 September 2015 at the Peace Palace in The Hague, The Netherlands, from 2 to 5.15 pm.
The following questions will be at the center of the debate: How can we kickstart peace? How creativity and innovative ideas can contribute to a peaceful world?
Listen to Amer Shanati, a boat refugee, who inspires hundreds of students in Syria by teaching music. Or Massoud Hassani, designer of the Mine Kafon that detonates landmines as it rolls across the ground. Experience how peace can be kick started through music, media, cartoons, robots, solar powered mobile cinemas, CSI-Rhino, the validation of memories, dance, recycled clothes, and ethical smart phones.
